busted

Twelve years of Christmas stalking has come to a conclusion, with the revelation that it was friends of ours who had the intriguing yet creepy habit of sending us anonymous Christmas parcels each year.

The dvd they included this year was maddeningly unhelpful, but the ever-clever Offspring was able to sort out the puzzle pieces to a satisfying conclusion. How Sandra and Grant managed to pull this off will forever remain a mystery, though.

Did you find out the reasons behind your friends' project? And were they doing this for anyone else, I wonder?

I don't think they were, Moxie. But they have obviously surprised me before, so I have some digging to do.

Finally! Closure! You have some very cool, fun friends.

Cool fun friends who apparently have depths of resolve that I never imagined, John.

That is strange and interesting.

I had an aunt (now in the beyond) who always had clever stories of why and how her amazing outgoing packages were lost in transit . . . one time, this involved a flying saucer . . . she should have been a writer!

It's a shame your aunt never got to meet these parcel-sending friends of mine, Erik. Imagine the stories they could have shared!
