housebound kitty ventures forth

After a brutally cold week, nobody was happier about the arrival of
the chinook than the Slightly Retarded Kitty.

There was so much work to do:
- checking to see how the decorations fared through the cold snap

- doing a little porch sliding

- making sure the boundaries were secure

- spinning a few doughnuts

- checking to make sure mom is watching

Okay, I'm ready to come in now! Mom!

What's that white stuff on the ground?

I have never seen a cat that wanted to spend even a moment in the snow. Fascinating.

Carpet, Dr M. We got a good deal on it at Carpets R Us.

She does like to play in the snow on occasion, Lesley. But unlike her predecessor, is not a fan of playing in water.

I love the second from the last. Frozen eyelashes!

In the snow, Rossie will go out on the deck, just far enough to hone his nails on the deck rail, and then it's back in.

Jacques is the brave one. He has appointments to keep across the yard, down by the lake, across the street. There's stuff to hunt out there and no opportunity may be lost.

She actually has white eyebrows and whiskers, Al, but I do believe there is also an additional layer of snow on them.

Ramona and Jacques seem to be made of the same stuff, Mr Anchovy. There's killing to be done!

Ours is too busy trying to steal food from the tables and counters to bother with the outside. Would SRK like a brother?

Why don't we find out, John? Put the little thief on a bus and we'll see what happens when he gets here.

She's the most photogenic one in the family, Vicomtesse.
