locked in a cannery

Last night I dreamed of a mating dance. Like cranes and crickets in jackets and heels, we humans circled around each other, heads swiveling to maintain eye contact.

The floor was a chessboard and we were stylized pieces, moving in syncopated fashion from square to square. The Red Queen was in high spirits, benevolent. No heads rolled.

I wore diamonds in my ears and my dance partner looked a little like Owen Pallett. No wonder I assumed it was a mating dance.

Strangely, I can't recall the music.

Sounds like a dream sequence from a 1970s film.

Wow. Now you have to analyze it, with the view that all of the characters in the dream are you. That's what a very wise person told me to do, anyway.

I think I saw that scene in a perfume commercial once.

You're right, Lucy, it does! No small wonder then that I can't recall the music.

That sounds way too complicated for me, WC, like work almost.

You probably did, Beckeye, I steal pretty much everything.

I had to google Owen Pallett and syncopated. I knew what syncope was but I didn't think you were referring to a loss of conciousness from insufficent blood to the brain (which I experienced in Turkey which in turn caused stress to others).

Anyhow strangely interesting dream

Great dream!

The Red Queen line, and Owen Pallett one made me chuckle.

Yes, I imagine that would have caused a certain degree of distress amongst your travel companions, Kelly. You know how to make an impression, I will give you that.
Bet you feel better know that you know who Owen Pallett is...

I wonder who would win in a fight, Al: the Red Queen or Owen Pallett? My money's on Owen, actually. He's a fierce bitch with a violin bow.
