gun like a jawbone

Today:

- I discovered that, at -23C, orientation matters. If I only had parked the urban assault vehicle facing into the sun, perhaps the windshield would not have turned into a complete block of ice during the 20 minutes I was in the grocery store.

- I made a hybrid of paella and jamalaya. Called it paelaya because it was fun to say.

How was your day?

My day was OK. Not as cold as yours, only -10!

Crappy day, but your paelaya sounds delish!

So many cultures have one of those yummy rice dishes - jambalaya, paella, pilaf, risotto. I have a soft spot for all of them - especially on a cold day.

Why, that's almost balmy, WC!

Boo for crappy days, Al! It's scary how a tasty supper will negate a lot of that though.

There is very little that's nicer than a good rice dish, Mr Anchovy. Cross-cultural comfort food!

My day was cold and snowy. Brrr.

Damn, hope that wasn't our fault, Dr M, we have this habit of sending out Alberta Clippers to wreak havoc elsewhere.

sounds like a great dish and yes fun to say.

6' or so of snow here overnight but today it is sunny and melting. I may not have to shovel after work.

You've actually had a real winter this year, haven't you, Kelly? Must bring you right back to your prairie days.
