this is me with

For a while now I have been threatening to go beyond merely clobbering you with the written word, and to actually subject you to a video blog. But while I am far too lazy busy to figure out exactly how to do that, I do have some video footage that my friend Rick captured at the Olenka and the Autumn Lovers house concert held at Casa del Zombie last month.

Here's me, being all hostessy and emceeish. You are warned.

Followed by me shamelessly harrasing people for money. Cause that's how I roll.

Nobody rides for free.

Oh. My. God. I thought I was in love with you before, but after finally hearing your voice and seeing you in that dress, I'm totally smitten. You're 'hubba hubba' to the max my dear.

I'm pretty sure what anonymous is trying to say is that it kind of throws a whole new slant on concert going when you ask the band if they make house calls. I'm very envious.

Oh, Dr M, you smoothie! Better watch it with your Casanova ways or you will create a video-taping monster out of me, and I'll be on the interweb selling you kitchen gadgets before you know it.

It's really not that hard or that scary, Kelly, especially if you host it at your friend's place, the friend with the wraparound porch.

I'm not entirely sure that's what Anony is saying, Remi. I suspect it's something a little less flattering, since I keep promptly deleting his ass.
It is great knowing a fine band who makes house calls, though. I've become spoiled.

You've reminded me that I need to do another video blog. Perhaps tonight...

You look splendid in that dress, by the way. Polka dots are a key element in the wardrobe. Next to plaid, of course.

I so love it when I can put a voice to the face of my Blogger buddies!

I just wanted to stop by and thank you for all you kind words. I've been through a tough patch as of late but I'm on the mend and your comments have been a tonic.

Now go enjoy those drinks!

Doc

You are adorable! Thanks for posting yourself! Are you available for parties?

Plaid, of course, is the ruler of the wardrobe universe, Al, but polka dots are what happens when plaid gets whimsical.
Please do another video post! I love watching and listening to my peeps!

I am enjoying one as we speak, Doc, and I am so glad that you are putting the bad patch behind you. Happy to see you on the mend, my friend.
You know, of course, that your video posts are part of the inspiration to finally do one myself. Of course, I do not possess the voice of buttered silk that you do...

Being available for parties is what I live for, FA! Especially if your adorable crew is involved.

For whatever weird reason, I did not expect you to sound nearly so...happy. Perhaps it was the wine? But it's great to finally hear your voice (and you truly are adorable). On to video blogging!

Looks like we have consensus... Zombie fans want more Zombie video, - oh ye of "voice of buttered silk" your own self.

What a treat to see all of my friends in a video like that too! Well done my friend. I think you're on to something here.

It was definitely the wine, BAP. I am normally very taciturn, scaring small children off my lawn, terrorizing cashiers in my wake.

I think I'm less buttered silk, more margarined polyester, Sean. And I appear to be effectively blocking any views of Olenka, Sara and Paterson with my vast expanse of polka dots.
I am, however, really jonesing for an irolf now!

Nice to see you on video Barb - Your personality comes through wonderfully - so often a writer does not translate well into video. I am so glad to see you are the exception!

I think that you have a future in this!

Barbara Bruederlin said...

Thanks, Kathy! There was a lot of conviviality in the room that night and the wine sure didn't hurt.

I hope to have a future in this, Johnny. It was too much fun not to repeat.

I miss you too, Jas. I am really looking forward to your move back here. You must come for dinner.
