I represent South East Asia in expressing our collective gratitude to the Americans. Please have our gratitudes. Every one of our most heartfelt gratitudes =)

Because we are so politically opposed it is hard for me to respond here but just let me say this, I didn't know we shared governments. ;)

It's a good thing Halle Berry won that Oscar.

I kid.

I loved hearing kids at school running in talking about this today. For them to understand the significance and to be so caught up in global politics gave me such an overwhemingly optimistic feeling (no small thing for a cynic such as I). The last time I felt that way was when Harper broke that barrier.

I kid.

Oh and Leazwell? Share, no. But we'll trade if you like.

Nice post Barb.

I must admit. I might be suffering from "Presidential Envy" though... Do you think we could just trade Stephen Harper? Or perhaps just put him out to pasture when "Dubya" goes.

to john mutford, ha, I'm not that desperate, yet...but I fear in time we may be as bad off or worse than you. Obama's Marxist leanings have me gravely concerned. I loathe big government.

I am the perpetual wet blanket on so many issues, lol. While I am glad that Obama won out over McCain, I will hold off on saying that America has done the right thing. Obama could turn out to be a terrible president - or maybe the greatest we've seen in a very long time.

Time will tell. :)

[I'm just glad Bush is going to be gone!]
