just until the cough syrup wears off

I had the best of intentions.

I had a new favourite past-time in a new favourite local hot spot to share with you, I just finished a book that I really enjoyed that I wanted to tell you about, and I watched an awesome film last night that I am just dying to discuss. But, against my better judgment, I downed some cough syrup to drown out the rattling noise in my chest, and now I am good for nothing.

So all of these fine things will just have to wait for a day or two. Please come back when I can string
together more than one word.

In the meanwhile, here's a video by a Swedish musician whose music I've been enjoying lately - Lykke Li:

G'night!

I hope the cough syrup works its magic and you're feeling better soon. :-)

I'm betting you found her on RCD LBL. Get well soon.

I trust you didn't sneak out to watch this film at the movie theater and are going to go all girly-girly on us and give us a breathy, gushy, teeth-hurting review on the Sex in the City movie?

(And did you know that Cough Syrup is so yesterday and a similar size swig of your favourite (cream free) liquor would accomplish the same? Or at least that's what I always tell myself.)

THE worst, Karen especially when they get lungy.

Oh yes, I heard about that, Deb! Good for Thom for calling Prince out on that.

Oddly, I haven't really been sleeping much, Evelyne. Oh, maybe that's the problem.

The cough syrup doesn't do much, Al, but it does knock you out quite nicely.

You may have seen it, BAP. If not, I think you would like it.

I didn't really mean to tease, Strawberry Blondie, it's just that was all the energy I could squeeze out at the time.

Gooned up, I was Gifted, but I managed to stay out of any bar fights.

Exactly right, Dr M. Thanks again for showing me that site!

Not to worry, Urban Blonde, this flick was watched on the couch and did not involve any talk of shoes.
I actually considered some cough syrup that was expired for over 2 years, since I pretty much drink neither hard liquor nor cough syrup anymore. Ultimately the drugstore was closer, so...

It's actually raining here, but that's nice too, Beckeye.

I'm working on it, Mel and getting there.

Ask and you shall receive, Will.

completely unrelated:
ARMS AROUND THE STEREO: the mixed tape comeback --invites you to submit a playlist of the songs currently taking up space in your brain, (if interested include cover art). If you have received and invite it means that I am actually interested in the music you are into; I'd like to think that counts for something. If possible enter your playlist onto http://www.mediafire.com/ to be downloaded by others. Expect me to ask for your oscurities if you decide not to make your tracks available. There is no deadline for submissions, send them to me via email, as you have the time. I will post mixed tapes as they become available and send everyone a message to check back once I have them all in.

Sounds intriguing, Serah! I'll check into it and no doubt will have some questions.

Getting better each day, Phlegmfatale, thanks. Yes, freakiest drummer in the history of freaky drummers!
