All the excitement surrounding the planning of our pilgrimage to America to see a British band has reminded me that I never did subject you to the photos of San Francisco taken on our recent trip.
To remedy this oversight may I present "I brought my camera to San Francisco":

- the Pier 39 sea lions -

You realize, of course, that these San Francisco photos and the earlier San Diego ones are just a fraction of the +800 photos we took on our California trip? You can thank me later for sparing your eyeballs and not testing your endurance to within an inch of its capacity. I just hate to see a grown blogger cry.

Oh the joy of digital photography!
Still, SF looks lovely, lucky dawg.
Fabulous photos Barb!!! My favorites are the Sea Lions, You and Eva "leaving Alcatraz free women", and Jerry and Eva with her Chinese cat :O)
Digital photography is certainly a two-headed sword, Gifted, but personally I am very pleased to never again pay for processing prints that feature beheaded family members.
Glad you liked them, Mel! They sure bring back a lot of happy memories, especially when I wear (as I am right now) my $2.00 San Francisco tee with the sea lion on it.
It's always nice to see photos of Canadians enjoying our little country. You all are too cute for words.
What a lovely city. I want to go back and visit. Some of my best pictures of the Golden Gate bridge are from Alcatraz.
Loved the photos, have you gotten around to scrap booking those 800 pics? ;) I quite enjoyed the "Street Car Riders" one and "Hotel Fire Pit" as the expressions on everyone's face makes me smile.
More seals. That's enough to make me happy.
I'm jealous. I've never been to SanFran.
"jail bait" huzzah!
We love coming to America, Dr M! Everything is so big! And it's so hot!
The best view is from Alcatraz, isn't it, Al? And you can really see how the SF skyline undulates along a series of hills.
I am putting together a scrapbook (two actually) for Mother's Day. The grandmas only ever want photos.
If you look closely, Beckeye, you'll notice they have external ear flaps, thus are actually sea lions. This I learned on my vacation. And you thought I was just sloughing off and drinking copiously.
At least she wasn't in a "looking for work outside the county jail" pose, Just A. You HAVE to go to San Francisco sometime.
Great photo's. Now I won't have to go there. Keep 'em coming!
(Remember when you actually had to buy film, flash cubes, and pay for developing? What would that have cost you this time? haha)
Hey, that's me!
Love those travel pics!
I do remember those days, Jim Dandy. I think if I were still using that system I would have taken 20 pictures.
It is, Will! And look how cute you are, too!
I'm getting addicted to travel pics, I think, Bubs. Travel, anyway.
Yup, once you go digital, you never go back. The money I've wasted on crappy bracketed shots! And the freedom digital gives you to experiment without worrying about cost.
Almost anyone can be a photographer now, Gifted. Well, except for me.
I love the docked seals!
They were so cute and playful, Leazwell. We watched them for a long time.
