Has anybody seen my cat?

Funny, I could have sworn she was right here on this blanket ...

She's likely just trying to get away from all the strutting and the high-fiving and the little impromptu happy dances that keep breaking out ever since I
started two weeks of holiday today!

Oh sure, I still had to get up at the usual time today, to get the poor little resident offspring to school for the final day, but now the whole family is home for a long break, where we shall spend far too much time in our pyjamas, reading books, playing on the internetz, watching movies, and eating Christmas baking.

Now that's how you welcome the Winter Solstice, in my humble opinion.

And also with a Friday Random Ten:

1. In the Morning (Alex Smoke Mix) - Junior Boys
2. Autosuggestion - Joy Division
3. Single Girl - Lush
4. This is How it Feels - Inspiral Carpets
5. Les Os - Unicorns
6. Something Against You - Pixies
7. Down on Me - the Jesus and Mary Chain
8. Rhythm of Cruelty - Magazine
9. Help Save the Youth of America - Billy Bragg
10. Permanent Daylight - Radiohead

I wish you a cozy start to the first weekend of the winter.
Mulled wine, owl sweaters, cats who hide in plain view - they are all great means of fighting off the cold.
Just keep your ears open.

It's the Predator kitty - lock up your vertebrates with interesting skulls!

You know it, Phlegmfatale. She's sort of a big swinging dick around our neighbourhood on account of her premium mousing skills.

She do blend in!

No doubt Sputnik is watching you with complete disdain as you try and hunt her down!

Your Christmas activities sound divine. Have fun.

I believe their camouflage ability is what makes Tortoiseshells such excellent hunters, Jim Dandy, especially when they are hunting on top of a horse blanket.

She was a little puzzled by me, Toccata, but she is used to having a camera stuck into her face.
I am in full-on Christmas mode now. Good luck with your breakfast!

That is brilliant, Danny! It fits the mood perfectly.
Have a wonderful trip home, my friend, and best of the holidays to you.

The B-2 stealth cat! I want one for the holidays.

Sounds like you have an excellent 2weeks ahead of you. My daughters were doing the happy dance yesterday when their respective school terms ended. Youngest has until January 7, eldest has until the 22. They both plan on logging plenty of pajama time.

I hope you get to spend lots of time with your family over the holidays, Bubs. Who knows, you may even get into the pyjama habit yourself. I would imagine your whole house is insanely jealous of your eldest daughter right now/

I am a lucky dog, aren't I, Kelly, almost as lucky as my cat is every single day of the year.

Merry Christmas, my friend! I'm sure supper at your place will be fantastic and I am jealous.
