not at all bad for a Monday

Look what was waiting in my mailbox! A 30 Seconds Bunny fridge magnet from Karen! Have you ever laid eyes on anything more awesome? Karen, you are officially in my will. And that bunny and I rather share a similar physique, I think.

In other news, not two days after posting about how grateful I was to have miraculously maintained my mobility despite my parking lot shenanigans, I am already griping about how tired I am since my little sprain. I napped over the weekend! That word is simply not part of my lexicon, as I inevitably wake up groggy and disoriented. And yet I was surprisingly refreshed from my nap. What's going on?

I did go into work today, but left an hour early, not so much from foot pain, although I did want to make sure that I could still drive home before it ballooned up to zeppelin proportions, but because I was so frickin tired. I took all my stuff home with me and am officially working at home tomorrow. (yes, I am spoiled, no need to point that out)

But I plan to start work early, in my jammies, and by the time Eva gets rolling out of bed at the crack of noon, I will have put in enough hours that we can go out to a movie later in the afternoon.

Any suggestions for a good Tuesday afternoon flick?

Another thing that I haven't done, because I have been too busy being slothful, is review the Passionistas' debut release God's Boat. The Passionistas, if you are not familiar with them, are the highly original San Francisco band recently signed to our friend Will's shiny new record label, New and Used Records. Come back soon and I will tell you more. Cross my heart and hope to die, stick a needle in my eye.

Now I'm going to watch a repeat of the Office and take my big old foot to bed.

I have to do the same cd review. Its coming with me tomorrow in the car.

Rest and ice that foot!!!!!!!! Tis an order, you have much concert going to report on soon and you can't work from home reviewing!!

I'd go see Sicko, but not so much a afternoon flick I guess. I wish you a productive morning.

Yes, m'am! Although I already threw out the bag of frozen corn that I was using, and my colleague who's an MD tells me at this point in the recovery I should be switching to heat. I will compromise and do neither because I am too lazy.
We should do a going coastal type of thing on the God's Boat review, Al, except I guess it would be western vs central Canada, but whatever.
I think we've decided to see Hot Fuzz and I could not be more excited, as I heart Simon Pegg.

Or go see Waitress.

p.s. Good going, Will!

I would firstly like to say that I have typed many many comments into this comment box that refuse to be posted.

Second - I love the bunny thing. Uber-cute. You should go the Red Deer Matt Good show, we could rock out together... I'll be in like for approximately 12 hours, so I guarantee good seats

OMG comment worked - it's a miracle!

READS PAST COMMENTS and notices all my typos - specifically that I'll be in LINE for 12 hours.

I was going to recommed Sicko too but Allison beat me to it. I thought it especially appropriate given your recent health issues. :) Hot Fuzz though will be a good afternoon flick to see. I didn't enjoy it as much as Shaun of the Dead but it's still funny (the middle part is a bit slow but the ending really makes up for it!). Have fun and guard your magnet with your life.

A friend of mine sprained her ankle over the weekend by slipping off a curb getting out of the car. We decided we'd tell no one that and instead make up outrageous stories about scaling rocks and cliff diving.

I've heard some buzz about Waitress, Beth, but believe my heart is now set on murder and mayhem in the English countryside.
I am so proud of Will!

Are you going to both the Edmonton and the Red Deer Matt Good shows, then Stephanie? You are hardcore. I got tickets to the Calgary show the other day, but despite snagging them 3 minutes after the box office opened, I ended up in row U. Row U! Stupid presales. So go forth and snag the best seats.

The magnet is gracing a place of honour at the pinacle of the fridge door, Karen, watching me as I open that door far too many times.
I've been waiting for Hot Fuzz since seeing Shaun of the Dead. I am so there.

That's why they pay you the big bucks, Justrun. Right then, I shall no longer admit to lame grocery shopping injuries and will instead regale people with tales of how I hurt myself during my space walk to fix the shuttle.

I'm glad to hear that your foot is getting better! And working from home sounds like a good plan!

I'm going to be a bit slow on the foot for a while, Evelyne, but it's amazing how much work you can get done from home when you eliminate 2 hours of driving.

I love that bunny. My kids turned me on to that website a while ago, I'll have to find out where to buy one of those for them.

I love those bunnies too, Serah, even though I would have to say that chocolate makes me happier.

They seem to have all kinds of merch on the website, Bubs. You can buy matching outfits for the whole family. You guys will be beautiful.
