Tuesdays - they're for recycling again

I saw my Tuesday buddy at work again today! It's been over a year since I've seen him, since we moved into the other building, but as I came down the hall this afternoon, there he was pushing his recycling bin. And he was without his helper too, so I think maybe he got a promotion or something. I sure hope he's working in our building now because I missed him.

I was behind him going down the hall and I was really tempted to tap him on the shoulder to say hi, but I'm pretty sure he wouldn't remember me and I didn't want to freak him out, because I know he doesn't like to deviate from the script. I did hear him calling out to someone who was passing by "it's Tuesday!" and that made my heart glad.

This made my heart glad too. It's courtesy of those dedicated folks at Green Plastic Radiohead (and it just happens to be the song that's been stuck in my head all week - how sweet is that?).
Do stick around to watch Jonny absolutely shredding that guitar during the last 45 seconds or so. I've never heard sounds quite like that before. The next time Jerry mentions how how they don't play like Hendrix yet, I'm going to show him this video:

Having worked with people who have developmental disabilities for numerous years, one without his helper surely means he is making progress, that warms my heart. I miss my old job when I hear stories like this. I'm actually seeing one of my old clients this weekend, funny you should mention this now.

Very nice song. Thom really has that sideways head shake down eh? And I love to see a guitarists go all out.

Al, I was hoping that Tuesday Guy being without his helper was a good sign, so hearing you verify that really makes me glad. He really is a dear. I hope you have a good visit with your client this weekend.
Yeah how 'bout that Thom? The man was born to dance, obviously, even if only with his head. And Jonny floors me, utterly.

I learned my lesson, 668. It doesn't pay to introduce a little variety into that relationship - no way.

That's great that he's on his own.

Radiohead has always been about the Johnny Greenwood for me, that is why when they announced that the new album was going to be more guitar oriented I had an absolute fangasm.

It was really heartening, Weatherchazer!

haha fangasm is such a great word, Fearless!
Don't get me wrong, I love Thom's singing, and he is a lyrical genius, but Jonny is certainly a genius in his own right.

I hope he keeps working in my building too, Mel. That would totally make my Tuesdays.
