It's sew guud sew guud sew guud it's sew guud

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ALLISON!
In honour of this auspicious occasion, here's is the video clip you just know you've been barking to see - ScarJO singing backup with the JAMC at Coachella. It still bamboozles the hell out of me, but despite the fact that I cannot figure out what the hell she's doing up on stage, it's good for a giggle or two.
Maybe if Scarlet had remembered to put on her pants ...

And this, of course, is the way we want to remember that song :

Is she the plastic toy then? Insane. Happy Birthday Allison!

Thank-you Barb!!! That video killed me, had me laughing from go. Those people in the front row, I bet got the full view. She just looked very awkward, it is still rather perplexing. Now I'm going to go the other one :)

(and thank-you Dale).

holy shit, barbara - thanks for wounding my soul!
I larfed and larfed. How terrible. Thanks for including the real thing as a palate cleanser. *pa-tooey*

ps: sick of ScarJo -
Sick.
Of.
Her.

She is the plastic toy who lost her trousers apparently, Dale.

I wonder if she was looking awkward because she knew that the people in the front row were getting the full ticket price worth, Al. I am totally perplexed by the whole thing, but it sure is funny.

I wouldn't dream of leaving you with that icky taste in your mouth, PF. Walking disasters are fun, but not when they leave a lasting impression.

hmm that was very um haha, ya perplexing is a good word :O) So funny. Its almost as awkward as the one of tom and katie "dancing" i Sawr a while back *shudder*

It sure has its cringe moments, Mel, but TomKat dancing? Whoa, that would be in a category on its own. Glad I dodged that bullet, actually!

Whoa, she will regret THAT some day, I bet! Happy birthday, Allison!! Nice to meet any friend of Barb's.

Thank you for putting that original video up. I haven't heard that in ages.

JAMC is one of my eldest girl's favorite bands now

You would think so, wouldn't you, Berni? But than again she is planning to do an album of Tom Waits songs. That could be scary!

That video is a bit wobbly toward the middle, Bubs, but it's still pretty awesome, isn't it? The JAMC never lost their cool, did they? My daughter loves them too.

the whole damn world's gone crazy

And thank goodness the rest of the world has cameraphones to capture the madness, Deb!

OK, Just woke up, but in my dream, I was hanging out backstage with Chrissy Hynde and it was really cool. I told her I am a singer, so she put me out on stage with her sherbet-green guitar for Brass in Pocket and gave me a microphone and told me to have a good time. She walked to the wings and watched. Then the microphone went wonky, and techs ran out and twiddled it while I was singing... I gripped that guitar for dear life and didn't play it, like a big do-nuthin'. Even with the wonky mic and my non-guitar skills, it was glorious. I want to thank you.

That song was put to quite good use in Lost In Translation. That ending is up there with the end of Casablanca in my "favorite movie endings" list.

a bit perplexing isn't it - ScarJo that is ... though Allison's birthday is not so perplexing.

I often wonder what goes on in the heads of celebs before they go out. "Hmmm, how to top the last moron on the cover of Star...maybe I'll wear a stupid hat and forego the pants? Too easy? Nah, I'll give it a whirl and see what happens."

I tried to click on the first video but ... I just... couldn't... do it.

What a cool dream, PF! I love hobnobbing with the stars in my dreams. But don't thank me - thank ScarJo - she's the original one on stage ahahaha!

It was put to good use in that film, Johnny, and I'm assuming that's where the cockamamie idea came from to have ScarJo singing along. That part was ill-considered.

The Allison's birthday part I understand quite well, Will, but I'll bet in 30 years they'll be writing PhD dissertations on the significance of her appearance on stage that night.

This is why you are the pop culture commentator around here, Beckeye, you have your finger firmly on the pulse of the pop culture zeitgeist. You know what makes them tick.

You have a strong sense of self-preservation, Fearless. You and the cockroaches will be the only living creatures after the world is destroyed.

Yeah-- she can't hold a tune in a bag, can she? Fun idea, though.
