my sister, the birthday girl

Is she as cute as a button or what?
I can only imagine that this birthday is extra sweet, what with the retirement and all.
And here's your boyfriend to sing for you. I heard that you like this song, and you can pretend that I took you to Glastonbury for the performance. Think Winnipeg Folk Festival, only bigger. And muddier.
Love you, Berni!

Thanks for the birthday wishes and music, sis. Love ya too! But please, you must have a less retarded pic of me.
funny how a person can LOOK 57 or whatever on the outside, but still FEEL 34 inside. In the words of our Bruno, "Getting old is not for wimps." Doncha love it that the Great Lakes Swimmers were just down the street from our house last week? Have you seen Fido yet?I just saw Children Of Men and was blown away by it-very grim, thought provoking, yet with a glimmer of hope. Fab sound track. But the book is best!

Wow, first you open for Jarvis and now you get Thom to sing for your sister, you got Skills my friend.
Cheers to Berni, I hope she has an amazing birthday.

I don't though, Berni! That is the least retarded picture I have of you. Oh wait, I didn't mean that like it sounds.
I don't know anybody in our family who looks 57, we all look 34, except me - I'm the baby.
Not only is it uber-cool that Great Lake Swimmers were almost at your house, but they talked about being there on CBC. I would have at least expected a bunch of townsfolks whooping it up behind them, though.
Still waiting to see Fido, but you are right, Jarvis does sing Running the World on the Children of Men soundtrack. Radiohead are on it too.

Next I'm bringing Ian Curtis back, Fearless! And I'm taking requests.

She's eating cheesecake, Mel! She told me!

Happy birthday to Berni - she must be a fabulous human being, if her sister is any indication. And many, many more!

Belated wishes. And I think that's a great picture. Good choice for a "Happy Birthday" song.

(and phlem's got it right...any sister of Barb's is a sister of ours)

Happy Birthday to your sister!

Is that a dentist's chair? I hope she's not getting a root canal for her b-day. That would suck.

I'm betting she would have enjoyed the cheesecake even more if she had shared it with her sister, Al. Oh well, next year.

Awww, PF, you are way too sweet - tell me more!

How sweet, Deb - Berni's got a whole new gaggle of sistas now. Is there anything finer?

It is indeed a dental chair, Beckeye. They store it in one of the entertainment rooms in our mom's seniors' home. I shudder to think what they consider entertainment in that place.

Happy Birthday to your sister!

You sure have a lot of birthdays in your world. :)

I know, Mel, I'd pretty much kill for a piece of cheesecake right now.

I do, don't I, Justrun? Everyone has one, it seems, at least once a year - it's crazy.
