It's all too much

It's been a terrible week for the people I care about.

On Saturday, Deb lost her mom after a long struggle.

On Sunday, my sister and her family lost Nomie, the sweetest little dog to ever live.

On Monday, Leazwell lost a former student in the horrific Virginia Tech shootings.

My heart is breaking for each of you.

This has been one hell of terrible week. I just cried when I opened Leazwell's blog tonight and saw that young girl standing there with such a warm, beautiful smile. I'm grateful for my extra work hours this week. Keeps me away from the damn television. All those kids and families just torn apart like that.

Truly a sad week.

I just took a phone call from a coworker letting us know that his mother-in-law passed away last night. She'd been diagnosed with cancer 3 or 4 weeks ago.

What a shitty week all round. Sorry to hear about the losses that have affected you and your family/friends Barb.

Yuck, these times. I usually spend a good amount of hours, days, weeks looking for the light again. I'm trying to do better this time.

I don't know what about my words in my last post helped you but thank you for the comment and hopefully it was positive help.

Life is unfair and sad these days. I hope that the sun will shine again as soon as possible in everybody's life. When I read Leazwell's and Deb's posts, I became all teary,
why do shootings have to happen, I don't get it.

As am I, Bubs; there are sure a lot of people hurting right now.

I was quite stunned when I opened Leazwell's blog as well, Toccata. Your extra work came at an ideal time. Me, I'm doing taxes.

I'll be glad when this week is over, John. Unfortunately for some folks, it never will be.

Oh Karen, how sad. That is so fast. My condolences to your coworker.

It was positive help, Justrun. It's just that I was struggling with my right to post about other people's losses. The comment you made about claiming the tragedy of others as our own was the one that helped me decide to proceed.

I hope that things brighten up for everyone as well, Evelyne. And I don't want to use the VA tragedy to promote an agenda, but I have to ask why guns are so easy to purchase there?

Aww, how true Jetson. And you're back in the blogs! Great, I shall be dropping by Awesometown later.

It's a lot happening all at once, Beckeye.
