You guys are awesome in your awesomeness! Thanks to you, The Stroumboulopouli blog placed third in the Best Group Blog category in the Canadian Blogger Awards. We really appreciate everyone's involvement - you guys are da bomb!

Sorry, I've been slacking in my visits and blogging lately; I have been heavily immersed in the Christmas card writing thing.

But not tomorrow night! Tomorrow we are going to see the Hidden Cameras! Awwoooo!!! Last concert of the year. God I hope they have dancing boys! Details later.

Awwoooo!!!
What clever wit you have my dear. (Sorry the dog in the gif thing reminded my of Little Red Riding Hood).

I'm so excited for you to see the Hidden Cameras, because then I get to read another review. Woohoo.
I've been listening to the Cameras for the past couple weeks in heavy rotation.

I wish that dancing boys grace the stage. Enjoy!!

Another "never heard of" for me...I'm ashamed to say. My goodness, what a whole lot of concerts - good job!! And I agree, getting the reviews of things you've been to is great - makes me feel like I've been a (wee) part of it all somehow.

And congrats to you all for the fine showing in the blog awards...your blog hasn't even been up for that long and you still pulled it off. I voted every day but one (forgot, bad girl!) and am so proud to say "hey, I know them". Autographs?

It's a con ! You should have won. I visited the sites that came second and first, and they were so boring, even my laptop fell asleep.

I should speak to the judge.

I've been noticing a lot of Cameras lyrics showing up on your site, Allison. I'v been listening to them a lot lately too. And I love the venue they are playing at tonight. It's tiny, ultracool, and has really good acoustics. Even room for dancing boys though!

It's YOU that pulled it off with your votes, Deb. Thanks loads.
The Hidden Cameras are a rather interesting band from Toronto, who are known for their outrageous and spectacular shows. I'm pumped.

How sweet of you to say, Ben, and how great that you visited the other sites - I have yet to visit all of them.
I'm happy with our placement - gives us something to aim for. Thanks again for your support.

(I didn't see the the joke "play out" last visit. I just saw the "Why did the chicken cross the road part". Love it.)

Third? My goodness. What were they thinking? Don't they know how utterly fabulous the StromboulIdontknowhowtospellit-i are? THis is a miscarriage of justice.

Just teasing, that's great! I'm so proud to say "I Know Barbara!".

Congrats!!!

That would be courtesy of my darling child, Deb. She spends her life finding cool stuff on the netz.

hahaha Karen, spoken like someone who truly knows utterly fabulous! Thanks.

Thanks Maureen, it was a fun exercise (if one can use the words fun and exercise in the same sentence that is).

Hehehe! Loved that little clip!!! The dog is brilliant. Made me chuckle and then chuckle some more.
Have fun at Hidden Cameras, maybe if I think about dancing boys it will make them appear...

Yay for 3rd place! I voted for you most days, every day I remebered too!

LOL for your chicken joke. One child I work with recently told me the joke with the punchline: To get away from the Colonal (sp?) (of KFC). I thought it was cute :D

I hope you have your dancing boys :)

You listen to so much music I have never heard of! I will have to put effort in the new year to try out some of it.

But just you wait, Just a Cool Cat, as soon as those presents are ripped open, it will be a non-stop blogging orgy.

Kees, it never ever hurts to think about dancing boys. I certainly appreciate the effort.

Thanks, Steffi - I sure do appreciate all that voting. Very kind of you.
I'd cross the street to get away from the Colonel too. Well, except when I'm in the mood for fried grease, which is disturbingly often.

Where the hell did you find that clip? So zany. I don't know whether to laugh, hide or choke. Laugh or hide. Just laugh or hide.

Congrats on placing 3rd! You are #1 in my books! Ah, Christmas cards...I guess it's time I sit down and do mine .

Hide, I think, John. That dog is pretty weird looking.
It's one of my kid's finds, she who spends 18.5 hours per day on the computer.

Why are you having trouble posting, Kelly? I don't even have word vertification or anything (but don't tell the spammers). Well it's good to see your smiling face, regardless.

Awww, Mel, you're #1 in mine too. I got my German cards mailed. Yay me! (I've already RECEIVED a couple - yikes).

fun and exercise....one of these words is not like the other, one of these words just doesn't belong...

Oh yes, I got my first one on friday. I damn near passed out. I am going to plan on sunday for my card writing day. I remember buying a book of stamps a couple weeks ago, and now I can't bloody find them aaaag!

First off, congratulations on finishing third. That is way awesome. A radio feature and an award all in one year ... awesome! Enjoy the Hidden Cameras.

Oh and I forgot to say - CONGRATULATIONS on placing 3rd (tho u SO should have won, I voted my ass off)!!!

Barbara Bruederlin said...

Maureen, I so hear you on that. In fact I've been neglecting exercise lately because of the Christmas rush (how's that for an excuse?)

I did the same thing with a car wash code that I bought a week ago, Mel. Bought it, can't find it, can't see out the side windows. That'll teach me to clean out my purse!

I know, 668, sometimes Photoshop is not a good thing.

Thanks Will! I actually forgot about the radio feature. Hey, I'll have to put those on my resume, because I am sick of working in science. Thanks for the reminder.

Kees, thanks so much, but you really shouldn't be putting your health in jeopardy like that. Besides, you may well need that ass for the next Nick Cave video you star in.
