The Zombie Family Album
This is done through third party hosting (Bolt), an inspiration coming from both Eva and Just a Cool Cat. I'm combining their ideas, holding my breath, and jumping in the deep end.

The kid, all dolled up in evening wear. Who says zombies don't clean up pretty good?

See the difference? The kid in everyday wear.
Me, in my work clothes, heading into the office.

Well, it almost worked. I need to practice my cutting and pasting, obviously.

You get the idea, though.

aaaggghhhh! That's FABULOUS!

I love the blood running down both nostrils, that's beautifully vivid, hah.

Eva did the makeup, huh? Get that girl down to Universal Studios, she's totally an Oscar winner! Excellent rockin' costumes.

You really didn't have any comments on your makeup? noobs!

She's got a gift, I think, Michelle. It's all that hanging around the drama club nerds...

I did actually get lots of comments on my makeup. In fact I scared the bejeezus out of a colleague who is not that familiar with Hallowe'en. It was great. But no strangers gave me candy.

Sweet!!! I agree with Michelle, the blood running down the nostrils was bea-uti-ful :-) And no help? Wow, that's impressive.

I can't believe you didn't get any candy! I'm sending you a chocolate bar through the internets...oh damn...it just bounced back.

Glad you had fun dressing up though!

I was pretty well chuffed to realize we have a makeup artist in the family, Allison. I have a feeling I'm going to be counting on her to do mine daily in a few years.
Oh and I did eat lots of mini-chocolate bars that didn't get handed out last night. Aww what a shame.

Now if you get those red contacts like in 28 Days Later, I can start having nightmares again.

Oh MAN, those are awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!

Barbara Bruederlin said...

Dang, I wish I had thought of the red contact lenses, John! Well except that my eyeballs almost fell out from the makeup alone, so for sure I would be legally blind now. There was a woman at work wearing those contact lenses that make your irises appear white, which was pretty creepy.
Love 28 Days Later! Especially the first half, which was horribly (in a good way) suspenseful.

Thanks Mel! I think they turned out pretty cool as well.

Very cool! Love the makeup! Love those gloves! Can I borrow them?
We gave out candy at my work... the mailman got some and so did the fedex guy... lol
We had so much candy all day long two days straight...I don't think loosing more weight will be an issue for me anymore.

awesome ... i would imagine halloween's a special time in the zombie house hold.

Barbara Bruederlin said...

You gave out candy at work, Barbara W? I'm obviously working at the wrong place.
Like the gloves? Value Village, of course.

It's a High Holy day around these parts, Will. We wear our best plaid shirts and practice using cutlery.

That is seriously creepy.

HEHEHEHE! Aren't you glad you wandered over here, JACC?

Eva, you did a wonderful job of the make-up. :)

Cool!!! I LOVE Halloween, I'm kinda sad it's over, sniff sniff.

Ben Heller said...

Brilliant job. You both look ready for "Shaun Of The Dead 2"

Barbara Bruederlin said...

She's pretty good, isn't she, Jas? I should bring her to work sometime and she could give us makeovers.

Me too, Maureen. One night is sometimes too short, especially when your kids don't go out anymore and so your candy choices are limited to what you bought yourself. Where's the fun in that?

That would be so much fun, Ben! If you hear about an upcoming production, let me know. Wouldn't it be incredibly fun to be an extra in that?

Awesome get ups gals!! You've got the spirit (Linds was so disappointed this year at the lack of Halloween enthusiasm in the neighbourhood that she said she's "contacting the government" with her concerns - kids!").

I noticed what I think is a "pet" picture...if that's the case you are just the best pet owners on the planet. What a great thought!!!

(I LLLOVE your kitchen and the color scheme - absolutely gorgeous. So jealous...mine's in desperate need of a makeover and that just caught my eye)

Barbara Bruederlin said...

Oh Linds, bless her heart! She's contacting the government with her concerns over the lack of Hallowe'en spirit? You have got to love a kid like that, Deb! Right on, Linds!

Oh yeah, the pet picture - that actually started with our old cat who once received a postcard from Australia from his old owner, so I stuck it above his dish so that he could see it (it was his, after all), and well, I guess I just liked the idea of the cat having a nice picture to look at while eating. Sputnik has a picture of herself sitting beside a birdhouse.

Thanks for the colour compliments. I'm afraid I lack any subtley when it comes to using colour in the house. I just dump on lots of colour everywhere. It looks a little schizophrenic but I like it that way.

WOW! Eva's costume is AMAZING!!! She makes a beeoootiful zombie. Brilliant.

That's my baby, Kees! Sniff, I'm so proud!

Who couldn't love a Flapper Zombie? Oh, and I like your blanket-stitch wristband - now THAT would make a nice tattoo!
