Time for happy news
Our friend Ruhee was offered the opportunity to play with the Toronto band Henri Faberge and the Adorables, very quickly after starting at York University this fall.

Which is exciting enough. But now the ante has been upped even more and her new band will featured on MTV Live tomorrow (that's Thursday, September 14) on the MTV Canada channel. The band will be appearing around 7:00pm ET.
I'll be watching! Go Ruhee!!!

That is exciting news! I don't get MTV, but best wishes to her!

I'm sure she appreciates your good wishes, Allison. She's probably a bit nervous.

Henri Faberge and The Adorables !! Now you just know they've got to smell good as well as make good music.

Aww, thanks!!!! This is really exciting :) I'll let you know how everything goes. I have never been to the studios so I hope I actually get there. This should be fun!

Go ruhee! That's ace. I can't watch it either. But go ruhee!

It's very important for a band not to be smelly, Ben.

Don't get lost, Ruhee! You are after all an Adorable now. (well, you always were...)

We shall keep you posted on the ensuing hilarity, Kees.

Awesome!
I have up to channel 22.. and then from 80 to 90 or somehting. It's really weird, but great because I get MTV live. Sometimes the people they have on are interesting. And I love the dude with the glasses because he once said he liked Martha Wainwright. But sometimes they play episodes of "My Sweet Sixteen". Which really scares me.

But that's really cool, I'll definitely be watching!

Congrats to Ruhee ... I'll have to check it out - hopefully it ends up on YouTube.

so you'll get to appear in the "I Knew Her When" special.

Go Ruhee....us blogaholics are all behind you!!

Hilary, I shamefacedly admit I used to watch The Wild Boys on MTV, but can't say I've turned to that channel in the past year or so. But tonight I will. I'm glad you'll be able to watch - Ruhee will likely be the shortest one in the band, just for visual references.

I'll bet it ends up on the Adorables' myspace at any rate, Will.

I never thought of that Deb - I shall have to start choosing an outfit!

Aww. You are all awesome. I am so excited I got a blog entry about this!!

The show was great, we had a lot of fun and recorded some good stuff for Overdrive (the songs will be posted on mtv.ca sometime soon). I think we are going to try to snag the video for YouTube.

Also, if you ever watch MTV Canada later on and see the Ass Clown segment, the weirdos singing the harmonised "Aaaaassss cloooowwwnnn" ... that's us!!

Ruhee, we missed the show! It would have been on from 4:30 to 5:30 here and we got home around 5:30. Dag-nab-it!

But I am going to read all about it and hopefully catch you performance on YouTube.

Me too, Mel, since I missed the show.

I'm kinda only getting them in fits and starts, Ruhee, but I saw you! I'm going to try on my laptop to see if I can view these better.

Thanks for sending these links. How very cool!
