Oh yes they did!

Elliott Brood have finished a new video. I got a note from Aaron, who is part of the team of animators who developed this hella cool video for that great song about the intrigue and underhanded dealings behind the opening of the Ambassador bridge in southern Ontario. It's full of back-stabbing and nefarious characters, and is highly entertaining. Oh yeah, and the song is pretty god-damned great as well! It's called the Bridge.

(And if you are interested on reading about my ideas on the connection between the September 11 anniversary and the Wayne Coyne (the Flaming Lips) interview that aired last season on The Hour, please check out the piece I wrote on the Stroumboulopouli blog.)

He was playing in Kingston soon, oh, and so is Cuff the Duke...I'm going to go I think. And I would have never heard of them if you didn't post :)

You have to go if you can, Allison! I've never seen Cuff the Duke perform, although Hylozoists (with whom many of Cuff play) are coming to town, but have seen Elliott Brood a few times and they are so much fun! They just smoke the place and wear the cutest little mormon-like outfits.
I missed getting tickets for their upcoming show here.

It does have that rhythm, Ben, which I never noticed prior to seeing the video. Oh the power of visuals!

It told quite a story in a very brief period, didn't it, Barbara W?
I thought it was very well done as well.

Peeling kids off the computer - I hear ya, sister!
And yet, try hanging over their shoulder while they are on it and see what reaction you get...

Good grief I love it. Slightly disappointed it doesn't feature them in their short-sleeved shirts but I'll cope. Weirdly I was listening to them today on my pod and thinking about the many ways in which I love them and that I should tell you so but that would be a bit random - so what do you do? You post about them! Ta very much.

You are most welcome, Kees. Never worry about springing random thoughts on me; I thrive on those.
But yes, it's a shame the mormon outfits are not featured, but...
