And all is right with the world ...

My baby is home from camp.

Much talking will be done over the next few days. Many photos poured over, Pete Doherty news giggled over, and she is just going to kill me when she sees that I taped a full-page ad for the upcoming James Blunt concert on her bedroom door. I am an evil mom.

Oh, and the Ceebeecee package which I resisted opening? No porn dvds were inside, but Eva did receive some very lovely DNTO bumper stickers, a DNTO zipped cd holder, and a cd entitled "Big Break ... because obscurity is a drag", which features "the next wave of Canadian music brought to you by DNTO". Well, it's from 2003, so maybe next wave is not quite right, but we'll forgive that. Let's see, there's Nathan Wiley, Tom Wilson, Mir, Nathan, Offsides, Grimskunk, Microbunny, Shaun Verrault, Mount Pleasant, and Chin Injeti.

Okay some of those are still around. Stay tuned.

I have never heard of any of those. But for me that is par for the course. The question is do they sound any good?
Welcome home Eva. You were missed.

We haven't opened the cd yet, Barbara W, but I do like Nathan and Nathan Wiley (no relation), and the rest I'll have to check out. The ceebs has always been pretty good at introducing me to music, so I'm looking forward to hearing it.

Yes, Eva was certainly missed.

LOL...that is one scary thought, a full size James Blunt poster, yikes! Be thankful it doesn't have a sound button or something, 'you're beauuutiful' would haunt you more everytime you opened the door ;)

It must feel great to have your girl back. I have spent a weekend or two away from my little monkey and by the end I am sooo anticipating having her home ;)
Hope she had a blast.

I hope Eva had a great time at camp! After camp I'm always super talkative my parents can't stand me. A full page James Blunt ad? Completly demonic.

Oh lord, Allison, a sound button! You do indeed have an evil mind and that's why I love you. I can imagine THAT would get disconnected quick-snap.

She must have had a blast, Sarah. She got into the shower when she got home and fell asleep in the bathroom!

Don't tell me your parents haven't done something evil like that to you, Hilary. From what you've said about them, I can see them doing far worse.
And I'll bet your parents don't get tired of your talkativeness after camp - you can bet it's been way too quiet at home.

LOL, James Blunt on the door = meanest, funniest parent prank ever.

Upon seeing his crazy satan eyes escorting me into my bedroom, I think I would have screamed until passing out into a crumpled heap on the floor, and not in the "N Sync concert" kind of way.

I'm glad Eva's home now, and the package you couldn't open is done taunting you. :P

You certainly do love your baby, Barbara. :) With good reason of course, but it's still very sweet.

No porn vids for you & Jerry? Drat. I guess music's alright, heh.

You are a teaser Barbara. Fancy welcoming your loving daughter home to James Blunt.

I hope she gets you back !

If she wants some early morning japes and wheezes to play on her terrible Mother, tell her to email me.

Alana, if you can't torment your own kid, what's the point in having any, has always been my philosophy. It actually took her a few hours to notice it, she was so zonked out (and it drove me nuts). "crazy Satan eyes..." hehe

I'm pretty sure I wouln't have wanted to see that porn vid anyway, Michelle, and it had a favourite cbc host in it, and that would have seriously creeped me out.
But it is great to have my kid/muse back.

Thanks Mel - I'm very pleased too!

I'm keeping her far away from your evil mind, Ben! I would be terrified of the results if you two put your heads together. I'm not even certain what japes and wheezes are, but I'll bet they are trouble!

"If you can't torment your own kid, why have any?". That absolutely cracked me up Barbara. (I do it all the time as well - it makes life worth living, doesn't it?).

James Blunt - reminds me that one of the late night hosts (can't remember which one) pegged it, "o.k. James, we get it, she's beautiful already....now move on".

LOL, that was George Stroumboulopoulos, Deb. :P

Barbara Bruederlin said...

Yeah, Deb, moms have got to get their fun from somewhere! Hey, we brought them into this world, we can take them out.

Ding, ding, ding!!! It most certainly was George, Alana. Bonus points for correct spelling too.

Aw must be good to have Eva back, hope she had fun :)

She had a great time, Kees, thanks. She's planning to apply to work there as a councillor next summer.

Oh shit, then I probably heard it from you guys (blooper). Or perhaps one of those crafty late night guys stole it?! I watch minimal TV, but often fall asleep to late night...so I assumed that's where it embedded itself in my brain. I just know that it stuck with me, as I thought it was hilarious and really made the point!

She's a lovely doll - she looks like her mama.

I do some of my best sleeping in front of the tv, Deb. I seem to be turning into my mother.

Aww, you're too sweet. Phlegmmy. And of course that must be why Eva HATES that picture.
