Okay, so this is not what I wanted to profile here today, but it would appear that Castpost will only support mp3 files and 99.98% of my stuff is wma. So I'm going to have to rethink this. Can you convert wma to mp3? (or more importantly, can I convert wma to mp3)

I wish I wasn't such a techno-weenie. Any suggestions?

On the plus side, hey, it's Radiohead!

NB: I've deleted this as it kept cutting out every few seconds.

Oh well that's pretty much crap, isn't it? Takes forever to load and then cuts out every couple of seconds. Help!

hmm. I think iTunes lets you convert files. If you import the file into iTunes than go to preferences > advanced > import using > mp3. but that's depending on if you have iTunes or not. As for the cutting out.. I don't have a clue. :(

We do have itunes, Hilary. I generally use media player just to keep my stuff separate from Eva's, but I'll give that a shot. I think I may need to try a different host than Castpost though because of the cutting out issue.
Thanks for the advice.

Barbara,

Go to www.download.com and find the section that is headed "Audio Tools". On there you'll be able to download for free the JODIX WMA to MP3 software. It converts everything you want from WMA to MP3.
It's a little slow in converting but it works successfully for me.

Thanks, Ben. I'm going to try that. Sorry to make guinea pigs of all of you.

Barb, if you have Roxio software, it can covert wma to mp3.

But I thought that castpost did support wma... :(

Jas, I don't have Roxio, but am going to try Ben's suggestion. No, Castpost doesn't support wmas, sadly.

Barb, if you want, I can convert them for you.

Thanks for the offer, Jas. I'll talk to the techno-wiz when she gets home, she'll roll her eyes at me, and I'll try a couple of things. I'll come crying to you for help if I get too overwhelmed. Did you notice that your castpost stuff cuts out as well?

Ben, you are a darling. I'm looking forward to your wonderful new site. I shall bring a cheeseball.
