Does this mean I'm there?

The lovely and ever-vigilant Monica has alerted me to the fact that The Hour website has linked my piece about meeting up with George Stroumboulopoulos, which I posted on the blog at calgary, on their blog tracker. I think that's probably the kewlest thing in the history of kewl things, but then I am easily amused.

Probably I should just keep on shamelessly pimping myself around the interwebz, at least until the Pope puts me on his blog tracker too. He did after all approve of Jesus singing Joy Division in Manchester's red light district for the upcoming BBC Easter special. And I don't really swear all that much.

Eva was terribly amused today to find out that Pete Doherty was in the IB program in high school too. Talk about yer role models.

Congrats on being featured on the blog tracker!! That is way exciting - clearly you are moving up in the world. Next thing you know you will be a regular guest on the show and Jian will only be able to glare with jealousy.

Pete Doherty was in IB?! HA HA.

Thanks Ruhee, I'm pretty full of myself these days. Oh man though, I wouldn't want to get Jian pissed off at me. I hear he's meaner than he looks.

Yeah, Pete Crackerty, boy genius - who would have guessed

Sometimes cats deserve awards too. Well no, I'm a dog person myself. So if I won a Juno I'd give it to my dog

Hey Jacquie, welcome and thanks for visiting. I'll stop by.

Jas, do you really think I'll start hanging out with the Pope? My mom would think that's so cool.

Aw Bev, you stroke my ego, girl, but that's not why I love you. It's because you are a saucy wench!

Stephanie, your dog totally deserves a Juno - he is soo cute!

Aww, Jas, you're always trying to get poor old George married off.

Ooops, sorry Stephanie, my apologies to your lovely dog.

Barbara I like your blog very cool! Even your readers who comment are cool. My niece does not want me or her mother to discribe George Stroumboulopoulos as 'cool'... She says the word cool is no longer... you know 'hip'. What do you think?

Barbara from Montreal, thanks so much for the compliments. The people who visit here are great and I love them all. You are most welcome to join us. (Your blog is pretty cool too)

I was just reading in the paper the other day how the word "cool" has maintained its status through the decades. It's one of the very few slang words that have maintained their, well, coolness. So, I am by NO means an authority, but you can tell your niece that according to the linguists, "cool" is still cool. And my very cool 14-year-old uses it still.
