God that was strange to see you again
introduced by the friend of a friend
- Your ex-lover is dead
- Stars
Last night was the first time that I have ever been to a Leaf's game and cheered against them, but I had to cheer for the Flames. They gave us so much fun in the spring of 04. I was the only red shirt in a sea of blue (there are always a tonne of Leafs fans at Flames games - they really are Canada's team) and when we scored the only goal, I was a real asshole and did my Cartman dance, pointing at Jerry and singing "nyah, nyah, nyah". I love chanelling Cartman.
(note to Kellee: we got the corporate seats at the last minute and the game was sold out weeks ago, so didn't contact you guys about going)
Jerry, who has never had a problem making a decision in his entire life, was completely torn as to which shirt to wear. In the end, he wore his Leafs jersey (Tie Domi) with a Flames t-shirt underneath.
I ran into Lanny MacDonald in the hallway, and Jerry saw Ralph Klein in the fancy-assed box behind us. I've met Klein before - he's really short - I could take him.
Kippy was spectacular and sipped his water bottle adorably, and I kept elbowing Eva and pointing that out until she got annoyed.
Eva says Kippy looks like an inquisitive ferret.
I hate the new schedule system, though. The last time the Leafs played in Calgary was 2003, and after last night they won't play here again until the 2008-09 season. That's insane!

Oh Barb! I envy you.
Since I do not subscribe to cable TV, I couldn't watch the game. And I was dying to know what was happening. Was quite relieved when I watched the news. Must've been quite a game!

Trust Eva to come up with descriptions like "inquisitive ferret" and "pedophile hair". :)

Wish we could have taken you to the game, Jas. The game itself was surprisingly subdued.
Love Kippy though (and Eva's moniker for him)

I love the flames!!! Its such and impssoibility to get tickets to ANY game. I listened on the radio and the game sounded a bit slow. Glad you enjoyed it and cheered for the flames rather then the leafs!

They are the hottest tickets in town, methinks. Gotta support the home team!

GOB and I have been trying to get into hockey for the longest time, alas, there are no hockey fans amongst us. We have the Thunderbirds but apparently they don't count.

And we still can't figure out what the hell the "icing" penalty means. We are lame hockey wannabes!

Hey Michelle, the icing penalty is sort of a delay of game thing, because all it really does is waste time.

Why didn't you throw things at Klein :P?!

And I, Michelle, cannot figure out footballl, so we have much to learn from each other.

Alas, Ruhee, I personally didn't see King Ralph at the game or I would have hucked something at him - a pie, perhaps - no wait, that's been done. Didn't want to spend the night in jail anyway.
