Pictureless in Calgary
The Matt Good concert photos are pretty rough. My resident photo hack did her best with the little Olympus, but alas, they kinda look like something I would take (don't tell her I said that).
I'll sort through them and post the best of the lot, but check out the great shots Stephanie took at the Edmonton concert. And of course you may have already seen the fabulous photos that Teddy took at the Calgary show. If not, go take a gander.
And go easy on Kellee the next few days. She had the absolute worst trip from hell while travelling to and from the Calgary concert and deserves a break. But I'll let her fill you in on the details...
Me, I'm still lolling over what I dork I am with the lyrics to Giant post a couple of days ago. I am my own best jackass sometimes.
Sing it loud and sing it proud "J-A-C-K-A-S-S. That's the way we spell success"

I've never actually heard Matthew Good since he's from a much younger generation of musicians than I listen to but I've often wondered: is he the son of one of the Good Brothers, a great bluegrass band I used to listen to in the 70s? He's from the same part of the country which is why I wonder.

Hi dapopster. Thanks for dropping by.
No Matt Good's dad wasn't in the Good Brothers, but maybe they're related somehow. I remember the Good Brothers though, as my undergrad degree is in Agriculture and I think they played one of our bashes, in the 80s.

Where did you get your degrees? I went to U of A, Calgary Branch at SAIT for my first year (57 or 58), before U of Calgary existed. The rest I took in Edmonton. My sister and brother also went to U of A, my brother in Ag Economics. I worked at Amoco in Calgary in the late 60s. Got a lot of relatives there.

I got both my degrees at Univ of Manitoba. We've only lived in Calgary for 8 years, prior to that were in London, ON.

Kellee, I can resend the pictures if you want but trust me they are really not worth it. You're better off taking a look at Teddy's or at Stephanie's.
